Hi, I'm Candice, founder of Luxe Amour Escapes—and in my own family, I'm usually the one planning the trip.
My husband is wonderfully easygoing about travel. His approach is pretty simple: tell me where we're going, and I'll carry the luggage and do the driving.
I love that about him.
But it also means I'm usually the one comparing the hotels, researching the cruise cabins, figuring out the flights, choosing excursions, thinking about transportation, and making sure all those little pieces actually work together.
And I know I'm not the only woman doing it.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I actually enjoy the research.
I like figuring out which hotel is worth the extra money and which isn't. I want to know whether the upgraded cabin will really make a difference, whether the private transfer is worth it, and which experiences will become the stories you tell when you get home.
What I don't believe is that you should have to spend weeks researching all of those things yourself just to take a vacation.
That's one of the reasons I created Luxe Amour Escapes.
